Want to look back at tweets you've liked, posts you've viewed, or your search history on Twitter (X)? The platform keeps track of some of this data, but it's not always obvious where to find it.
Viewing Your Liked Tweets
Go to your profile page on X. Click on the "Likes" tab. This shows every tweet you've ever liked, in reverse chronological order (newest first).
On mobile: tap your profile picture → tap your name to go to your profile → tap "Likes."
Note: If you've liked thousands of tweets, the list can be very long. X doesn't have a search function within your likes, so you'll have to scroll through them manually.
Viewing Your Tweet History
Every tweet you've ever posted (unless deleted) is on your profile page under the "Posts" tab. You can scroll back through your entire timeline.
For a more organized view, request your data archive:
- Go to Settings → Your Account → Download an archive of your data
- Verify your identity
- X will prepare your archive (takes a few hours to a day)
- Download the zip file
The archive contains all your tweets, likes, DMs, and other account data in an organized format.
Viewing Your Search History
On mobile: tap the search/explore icon → tap the search bar. Your recent searches will appear as a list below the search bar. You can tap the X next to each search to delete it, or clear all recent searches.
On desktop: click the search bar in the top right. Recent searches will appear in a dropdown.
X doesn't keep a permanent search history. It only remembers your most recent searches, and you can clear them at any time.
Viewing Your Video Watch History
X doesn't have a dedicated "video watch history" feature like YouTube does. There's no central page that tracks which videos you've watched.
The closest alternative is checking your "Likes" for videos you've liked, or scrolling through your timeline to find videos you've interacted with.
Privacy Note
Your likes are public by default on X. Anyone who visits your profile can see what you've liked. If you want to keep your likes private, go to Settings → Privacy and Safety → turn on "Protect your posts" (but this makes your entire account private, not just likes).
